Manchester United Make £28.6m Sergio Ramos Offer

Manchester United FC have tabled a £28.6m bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
The Spaniard is understood to be discontented by his contract situation at the Santiago Bernebeu after the ten-time European champions failed to offer him an extension to his contract, which ends in 2017.

And United are looking to pounce on the uncertainties in Madrid to aid coach Louis van Gaal’s bid to strengthen the Red Devils’ defense ahead of the forthcoming campaign.

Ramos joined Real from Sevilla in 2005. He has made 445 appearances for the Los Blancos and, even scored their injury-time equaliser against Atletico Madrid on their track to clinching ‘La Decima’ in Lisbon last year.

He has made 128 appearances for Spain and was in the squad which won successive European championships in 2008 and 2012, as well as the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
